Implementation of Mandatory Mauritian Tourist Fee Effective 1 October 2025

Dear Guest,

We thank you for choosing Amis Apartments for your stay in Mauritius. Please be advised of the following important update in compliance with the new
national legislation.
The Mauritius Revenue Authority (MRA) has announced that, following amendments to the Tourism Authority Act, a Tourist Fee of 3 Euro (€3) per tourist per night will apply as from 1 October 2025.
The MRA has been officially entrusted with the responsibility for collecting this Tourist Fee from all qualifying guests.

~ Amount: €3 (three Euro) per tourist, per night
~ Applies to: All tourists aged 12 years and above (Please see Exceptions below)
~ Effective Date: Stays from 1 October 2025 onwards
~ Collected By: Amis Apartments, on behalf of the Mauritius Revenue
Authority (MRA)


The Tourist Fee will be included on your final invoice OR is payable prior to or
upon check-out. All collected fees are remitted directly to the MRA as required by
law.

Exemptions:
The Tourist Fee does not apply to the following categories of guests:

~ Tourists under 12 years of age
~ Tourists who stay free of charge
~ Residents of Mauritius
~ Mauritians living abroad and holding a Mauritian passport
~ Holders of a valid Premium Visa
~ Holders of a valid Residence Permit

which supports the ongoing enhancement and sustainability of Mauritius’s
tourism sector.

Mise en œuvre de la taxe touristique obligatoire à Maurice à compter du 1er octobre 2025

Nous vous remercions d’avoir choisi Amis Apartments pour votre séjour à l’île Maurice.
Veuillez prendre note de la mise à jour importante suivante, conformément à la nouvelle
législation nationale.
L’Autorité fiscale mauricienne (Mauritius Revenue Authority – MRA) a annoncé que,
suite aux modifications apportées à la Loi sur l’Autorité du Tourisme (Tourism Authority
Act), une taxe touristique de 3 euros (€3) par touriste et par nuitée s’appliquera à partir
du 1er octobre 2025.
La MRA a été officiellement chargée de la collecte de cette taxe auprès de tous les
clients concernés.

~ Montant : €3 (trois euros) par touriste et par nuit
~ S’applique à : Tous les touristes âgés de 12 ans et plus (voir les
exceptions ci-dessous)
~ Date d’entrée en vigueur : Séjours à partir du 1er octobre 2025
~ Perçue par : Amis Apartments, pour le compte de la Mauritius Revenue
Authority (MRA)

La taxe touristique sera incluse dans votre facture finale ou à régler avant ou au
moment du départ.
Toutes les sommes perçues sont reversées directement à la MRA, conformément
à la loi.

Exemptions:
La taxe touristique ne s’applique pas aux catégories de clients suivantes :

~ Touristes de moins de 12 ans
~ Touristes séjournant gratuitement
~ Résidents mauriciens
~ Mauriciens résidant à l’étranger et titulaires d’un passeport Mauricien
~ Titulaires d’un visa Premium valide
~ Titulaires d’un permis de résidence valide
